Come Holy Spirit - Journey towards Pentecost
Thursdays 6.45-7.30 A short talk followed by CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER in the Lady Chapel. "The way to self-fulfilment is the way of self-emptying. In Gethsemane and on Calvary Jesus entered the great self emptying that had been his own birth. As God had to let go of Himself in order for the Word to become flesh, so Jesus had to let go of himself humanly in order to return and blaze the trail for us to follow. ‘Where I am going… you will follow later’ (Jn 13:36)". What can this mean for each of us? COME HOLY SPIRIT AND LEAD US AND GUIDE US.

The Sick & Retired Clergy Fund is part of the Diocesan Charity which helps and supports our retired and sick clergy. As a Charity we rely on the generosity of the Parishes and individual donations to keep the Fund in a healthy state. Another valuable means is by including a bequest in your Will; a Form of Bequest can be found on page 36 of the Brentwood Diocesan Directory. Your generosity through donations, the annual collection and bequests is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued help and support.

CATHOLICISM: The Pivotal Players
Bishop Robert Barron's CATHOLICISM series, an epic ten-part documentary, took people around the world and deep into the Catholic Faith. The series has been seen by millions, but there is still more of the story to tell. Bishop Barron is on a new journey to unlock the truth behind the Catholic Church's most influential people. CATHOLICISM: The Pivotal Players is a multi-part film series that illumines a handful of saints, artists, mystics, and scholars who not only shaped the life of the Church but changed the course of civilisation. Series 1 of this ground-breaking series will be shown on Monday evenings, with St. Thomas Aquinas on June 12, 2017 at 8pm in the Parish Centre. Please join us!
