Brentwood Catholic Youth Service
Brentwood Catholic Youth Service (BCYS) and Walsingham House at Abbotswick offer retreats, pilgrimages and many other events for many thousands of young people every year; most of the work is led by volunteers, trained as young leaders in the Church. The BCYS also supports our catechists and school lay chaplains. Today a speaker will tell us more about the BCYS and there will be a collection for their vital work, or you can donate online at www.bcys.net/donate.
The Launch of The Synodal Pathway
The First Sunday of Advent 2021 falls on 28 November. We shall hear from Bishop Alan in his pastoral letter, how we are all invited to join with our parish partnerships in listening and discussion groups as the Synodal Pathway is launched.
To mark this event our partnership—Westcliff, Leigh-on-Sea and Eastwood Parishes will be afforded an afternoon of listening to the will of the Holy Spirit during Holy Hour beginning at 3pm—just after 4pm there will be the opportunity for refreshments to discuss what the Synodal Pathway might mean to the Church both universally and at our local parish partnership level. All are welcome!
