We are hosting a 2-course fund-raising meal (starter and main course) using the upstairs part of The Sand Bar on Tuesday, 12th May at 7pm at a cost of £15 per person, with £5 per meal going to the charity.  Drinks etc will be at extra cost to each diner on the night and of course you can also pay for a dessert if you have room!

Booking forms are available from the Parish Office.  As places are limited please return the forms with full payment asap to Nicolette Denkmayer, 7 Eastwood Road, Leigh on Sea, Tel 01702 475739.  Payment for the raffle and meal is to be made to Nicolette Denkmayer, but if you can’t attend and don’t want to buy raffle tickets, you could still make a donation!  Cheques payable to HARP Ltd and send them to HARP Head Office, Dencora Court, 4th floor, Tylers Avenue, Southend on Sea SS1 2BB or contact me directly.  Niqui Denkmayer.

The Society of Saint Gregory

This year the Society of Saint Gregory is holding its Annual Residential Summer School at the Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire           28th July -  1st August. The theme of this year’s Summer School is - A sure compass by which to take our bearings, exploring how Vatican II is a sure compass for liturgical practice and the life of the church.  Leaders include Director of Music - Frances Novillo, Director of Liturgy - Kathryn Turner and Keynote Speaker - Rev Fr Kevin McGinnell, Episcopal Vicar for Education and Formation of the Diocese of Northampton and Chair of the Joint Liturgical Group of Great Britain.   

The Summer School includes a programme of talks and workshops, in which to practice and develop all liturgical and musical skills, as well as opportunities for rest, recollection and socialising.  Following on from last year’s success the society is offering 15 free places to any 18-35 year old interested in attending the Summer School.  If interested visit the Society of Saint Gregory website:- www.ssg.org.uk/summer school for full details or contact:-  T J Campbell the    Diocesan Representative for SSG in Brentwood.
