Confirmation Candidates
Those who were Confirmed in May are invited to the Saturday evening Mass on 9th July to receive their Certificates and for a short Gathering in the Parish Centre afterwards.
New Altar servers required
Any child who has received First Communion and would like to become an Altar server please leave your name and contact details with the Parish Office or speak to Bernard Arscott, Parish MC, after the 11.30am mass. Training for new Altar servers will commence on Wednesday 5th July at 4.30pm in the Church.
SVP News - Dementia Awareness
A speaker from The Alzheimers Society will be coming to the parish to give a talk and explain about dementia in order to raise awareness. All are welcome to attend on the evening of 15th June at 8pm. The session will last about one hour and tea/coffee will be served.

Scripture Group
Fr Con Joyce’s Scripture Group will next meet in the Parish Centre 8pm-9pm on Thursday, 16th June. These meetings are held to give us a better understanding of the Bible, to encourage us to read it and so help us to come closer to Jesus in our daily lives as Christians. All welcome.
St Thomas More Alumni Memorial Mass-Monday 20th June 8pm
The annual Memorial Mass organised by the St Thomas More Alumni will take place on Monday 20th June at 8.00pm in St Thomas More High School, Westcliff-on-Sea. As is traditional the deceased former pupils and members of staff will be remembered with the roll-call of the deceased having risen by another five names since last year. This year’s Mass will also incorporate the blessing and unveiling of four memorial plaques dedicated to deceased former Head and senior masters.
The Mass is followed by a buffet and social. All past pupils, teachers and governors are welcome together with their partners. Admission is free.

SVP St John Bosco Children’s Summer Holiday Camp
The SVP St John Bosco Camp offers children aged 8-13 a sports and activity based holiday on a campsite in the Essex countryside. Run with a Catholic ethos, the camp is especially for children who may not have any other holiday this year.
The boys’ camp runs for two weeks during the Summer holiday, from 23rd July to 6th August, and the girls’ camp runs for one week from 6th to 13th August. Please note that the boys’ camp age range is 8 to 13 while the girls’ is 9 to 12. Children are accepted for one week only.
