Safeguarding

God created people in his own image and likeness, which gives everyone value and dignity. We value all people and support them and protect them from harm. We have a special responsibility for safeguarding the wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults.

If you volunteer for a role that brings you into contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults then you must first complete a volunteer application form, then undergo an enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Services check. This is a part of the Diocese's safeguarding process. Our Safeguarding Representative is Jackie Sullens, and she will help you with the relevant paperwork. Readers and ushers do not require these checks.
