A Former member of our Parish - Michael Halsall - is to be ordained (interim) Deacon by Bishop Alan Williams, SM, on Wednesday 30th September, at 7.30pm. Michael was a former Anglican priest, and was received into the Catholic Church here at Our Lady of Lourdes in 2006. Until recently, he has assisted as a Catechist and Lector, and will serve eventually as an assistant priest in the newly formed Southend Ordinariate Mission. The ordination will take place at St John Fisher Catholic Church, Manners Way, and he would welcome support from all who knew him here. Please remember him in your prayers.
