‘Little John…….but no Robin Hood’: the story of Saint Nicholas Owen (nicknamed ‘Little John’), the Jesuit carpenter who saved the lives of countless priests by constructing hiding holes during the Reformation period and thus enabled them ‘to become invisible’ to those searching for them and so to continue their apostolate. One of the best examples of St Nicholas Owen’s work is to be found in Essex. A power point presentation by Tony Reynolds will be given at The Grange, 93 Queens Road, Brentwood CM14 4EY at 2.30pm on Saturday 24 September.
All are welcome.
